xxxxxxxx - Territory Sales Manager Location: Springfield, IL Job Id: xxxx # of Openings: 1 About the Job: The Territory Sales Manager, Natural is responsible for managing an account base of retail health and natural product stores throughout a specified geographic area. This position is based in Central Illinois and covers primarily Springfield, Champaign-Urbana, Peoria Position Accountabilities: * Develop and manage business relationships with assigned accounts and provide accounts with information about sales and profitability opportunities. * Increase placement of products purchased from Tree of Life. * Increase promotional activity, sales volume and profitability of assigned accounts. * Improve each retailer's category assortment with new/appropriate items. * Recommend improved merchandising, promotional and marketing initiatives to assigned accounts. * Attendance at regional and national trade shows identified by management. * Other duties and special projects as requested. * Must maintain good attendance. * Must maintain safe work practices. * Maintain safeguards of confidential company information. Experience Required: * High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Bachelors Degree preferred. * A minimum of four (4) years of field sales management and/or retail natural food store experience required. * Experience in the independent natural foods marketplace and/or knowledge of natural foods strongly preferred. * Valid driver's license required. * Proficiency with MS Office required; including Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
